What if you could automate your voltage measurement process with a low risk, no-fuss, efficient solution?

Solutions such as the Landport Voltage Sensor (LVS) enable businesses to monitor lead acid batteries while stored, achieving less manual labor, less errors, and less failures.

The LVS is a cost-effective and highly accurate LoRa wireless sensor, built for the wireless measurement of battery voltages stored in warehouses. It is your gateway to accessing all the benefits of automatically measuring battery voltage.

Preventing degradation through correct battery voltage measurement

Lead acid batteries can degrade over time due to a combination of chemical, mechanical, operational, and environmental factors. A few common causes include cyclic degradation, overcharging, or deep discharging.

To slow down and even prevent degradation caused by non-optimal charging, lead acid batteries require thorough and regular voltage measurement.

By continuously measuring the voltage of stored batteries, you can reduce downtime risk and replacement costs, while ensuring that you deliver the best quality possible to customers.

Best practices for battery voltage measurement

Aside from continuous measurement, there are other best practices to keep in mind, such as always wearing protective gear, measuring voltage at rest, and recording measurements regularly for trend monitoring. But even when you abide by these best practices, manual battery voltage measurement brings several risks, such as injuries and battery damage due to improper handling, or inconsistent checks due to human error.

What if you could automate your voltage measurement process with a low risk, no-fuss, efficient solution?

A wireless voltage sensor that not only measures battery voltage 24/7 but also allows you to get insights and alerts through a central gateway. This is possible with the LVS.

How a wireless battery voltage sensor can improve your operations

A wireless, real-time battery voltage sensor like the LVS can improve operations for industrial warehouses and battery suppliers. This is how:

  • It enables constant tracking of battery voltage without manual checks. Voltage drops or failures can hence be detected early, before they cause downtime.
  • Automating battery voltage measurement eliminates the need for frequent manual inspections. This reduces costs and minimizes human error in measurements and maintenance scheduling.
  • Data-driven insights allow maintenance to be planned proactively based on actual battery condition rather than fixed intervals. This extends battery life while unnecessary replacements are reduced.
  • Wireless transmission of battery status enables remote monitoring across multiple locations. This speeds decision-making and improves inventory and equipment readiness management.
  • Collected data can integrate with warehouse management systems or supplier logistics platforms, improving visibility and traceability for battery assets.

Why should you include monitoring technology into your industrial battery measurement and maintenance?

By leveraging battery voltage sensors such as the LVS, industrial warehouses and suppliers achieve improved reliability, cost savings, safety through smarter battery management.

In short, a battery voltage sensor:

  • Provides continuous monitoring
  • Reduces manual labor and errors
  • Enhances safety
  • Optimizes maintenance scheduling
  • Increases operational efficiency
  • Supports data integration and reporting

What our customers are saying

"We asked Cboost to improve our battery status measurement process. They engineered a custom solution that significantly reduces the need for manual labor, improves data insights, and cuts costs."

How does the LVS work?

  • Choose the right supplier. By choosing Cboost as your supplier, you get an end-to-end solution integrated into your operations, that includes assistance from a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.
  • Connect the sensor. For example, the LVS powered by Cboost can be connected to up to 6 batteries. You can do this yourself, no engineers required.
  • Measuring data. Once connected, the LVS measures the voltage of all six connected batteries at a regular interval.
  • Sending data and alerts. The LVS will transmit the data wirelessly to the central gateway that actively monitors and alerts whenever a battery requires recharging.
  • Assistance required? No problem! Our team is on stand-by for maintenance or unexpected challenges.

Incorporating wireless battery voltage sensors into daily maintenance offers industrial battery storage facilities and battery suppliers a smarter way to manage their assets. By providing continuous monitoring, reducing manual checks, enhancing safety, and enabling data-driven decisions, sensors such as the LVS improve operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
